*Note about 7Cr17MoV Steel: a Chinese GB standard Martensitic stainless steel grade produced by adding a small amount of molybdenum (MO) and vanadium (V) to 7Cr17 to improve hardness and wear resistance, with similar steel grades being US AISI 440A and Japanese SUS 440A. The steel is good for wear resistance, has more than .5% carbon so it’s great for a low end steel. Its toughness is good being low end while still maintaining good hardness and high corrosion resistance.
